Guest guest
Hi colleagues, Be working early today. Thanks to those doctors who responded off list and asked that I send a survey to them as they didn't apparently get one with the first mailer. 267 doctors have sent in their surveys all of which tend to clearly validate the concerns that employers are inappropriately steering injured workers to specific Occupational Medical Clinics or the Company Doctor or this or that Urgent Care Center....never telling the worker they have a choice and in many cases telling the injured worker they can't see a chiropractor...etc. The other big problem is colleagues not being able to get on the Closed MCO panels. These surveys will be professionally bound with the results noted in the first page and presented to the Management-Labor Advisory Committee's Provider Groups Sub-Committee that is looking at expanding chiropractic coverage etc. The Chiropractic Association of Oregon is currently having proposed legislation drafted as we speak to address both these issues and it is my sincere hope we can win MLAC approval for both with or without their proposed amendments etc....in short we be all over it! Last Call For Surveys! Ok so this is the last time I'm going to bug you guys....gals...if you have not sent in your survey do so, if you didn't get one post to me off list with your address and I'll get one out ASAP. Thanks for all you dear colleagues who followed through for the profession and got your survey in to me....thank you!
