**Secret Buddy Exchange***

Hi All!

For the last 2 years this group has done a " Secret Santa " around the

holidays. This year I'm changing the name to " Secret Buddy Exchange "

because we do have lots of diverse people/cultures on our list, and I

don't want to offend anyone.

This is open to anyone on the list. I have one major requirement- If

you sign up for it, you MUST follow thru with your commitment. So far

we've only had one person not follow thru, and that person was

unsubbed from the group after repeated email attempts on my part to

find out what was going on. (Normally I'm not such a meanie!!!)

Soooo, here are the rules!

Sign up deadline is September 30, 2003. I will send questionnaires to

those participating offlist on October 1, 2003. I will assign each

participant someone to send a " box/gift " to. The person you send to

will not be the person you receive from. Your answers to the

questionnaire will be forwarded to your " Secret Buddy " that is sending

you a box. This will help that person get to know you & choose an

appropriate " gift " to send to you. All boxes should be sent to your

recipient by December 1, 2003. (If it isn't going to be, you MUST

notify me by email with a reason and ship date.) This gives you 2

months to choose & send a box to your recipient.

The minimum value of the " gift " should be $10. You may send more than

that if you wish, that is up to each individual. But please do not

send something with a value less than that. The gift doesn't have to

be soap/toiletries. You may make or purchase your gift(s), that's up

to each participant.

It is up to each participant as to whether or not you want your

identity to remain a " secret. " So you can tell your recipient when

you send the box, or you can make them guess! After everyone has

received their boxes I'll post a list of partners so everyone knows

who had who!

This has been a ton of fun in the past. It's a great way to get to

know your fellow list members, especially since we have lots of

lurkers sign up for this. So please don't hesitate, sign up today!

sent to the list or any of my other email addys will not be

recognized. Last year we had around 20 people join the fun & I need

to keep everything in one email box. So if you want to join, you must
