Guest guest
Oh, Colleen, those are great pics! Now, tell me. Is the picture of you guys on the porch recent?? If so, SC here I come! Look at all that sunshine! We've got sun today but it's blinding because of all the snow. Boy, it's going to be a long winter if I'm already depressed, huh? :-) By the way, your kids are adorable! Your daughter has beautiful eyes that are really brought out by that black hair. So cute! Katy Some pics of SC Here is a website that put together since we moved. The Christmas page has pics of us, 's brother & his wife and kids. The shed page-be forwarned there's a nasty pic of 's hand after he had shot it with an airgun. The other guy on that page is my brother who came from Atlanta to help his build it. The Ceasar's Head pics-we happened across the park the other day when we went out exploring. http://johnjohnston.unitedstates.com/ Enjoy the pics! I hope you all in NY are staying safe & warm! Guest guest
Whaaaaa the pictures made me cry. I miss hearing Miss in the background on the phone almost every day! *sniffle* Sorry Colleen... didn't realize how much I miss ya' all til I saw the pic's. I'll give ya a yell this weekend (free on the cell phone don't ya know!) s shed sure would made a nice soaping shed! And you've got the temps down there to almost be able to soap all year long in it. Ohhh if that was my house that shed would have to have an armed guard at it all the time to keep me from moving in! hehe Terri

Guest guest
> Is the picture of you guys on the porch recent?? That pic was actually taken within the first few days after we moved in November. It's actually been in the upper 40's to mid 50's lately. Today's high is gonna be around 45. But that sun sure does make a huge difference! LOL, it does wonders for your mood too! Even though it's chilly (I know, now as cold as negative temps), with the sun shining, it just makes you feel better! Guest guest
> Ouch, I hope that your hubby > is OK now! That looked nasty!!! ROFL!! It was even more nasty when he came in and asked for a paper towel. I assumed he'd gotten himself with the nailgun again, but when I saw it I almost passed out! The nail shot thru the index finger and into the tip of his pinky finger. Hehehe, he is all healed now, but the folks at the hospital named him " Tim . " Luckily the hospital is right around the corner, so he didn't have far to drive. Oh yes, he drove himself, such a big boy!!! But he assures me that I get to pick out our next house, so you can be guaranteed that it'll have a room that's all mine, or at least enough closet space for my stuff to be in one spot! Guest guest
> Great pictures Colleen! Hope s finger is getting better! yikes! Yup, all better! LOL! Of course he's got no feeling in his pinky anymore, and I don't think much of anything in his index finger either. That was about the third or fourth time he had a go-round with that nailgun. Needless to say, he finally got a new gun! Colleen Country Meadow Creations http://www.countrymeadowcreations.com

I don't even wear shorts here in the summer!! Hey ! That pic was taken in November. I wouldn't wear shorts in NY unless it was at least 78! Right now it's in the 40's here. Supposed to be high 50'2, low 60's soon though. LOL, ducking and running before that snowball you just threw at me hits me in the head! Guest guest
> Try to run now!!!!! LOL, has to leave here Sunday for a 2 week trip up there. He threatened to bring the biggest cooler back full of snow he could find! Of course that wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that I've been teasing him about leaving the warmth to go to the cold. But hey, it's supposed to be 30 with sleet and rain here on Sunday! Guest guest
Dear Colleen, I'm confused- I fail to see what the problem is with your house. There are so many soapers on this list who would give anything to have a house like yours, with that view, the newer vehicle in your driveway, the land. I'm confused as to why living in 1200 sq. ft. is so disruptive and destructive to your psyche, why we should feel so bad about all you had to give up in NY, etc. I suspect, in fact, that underneath all of this is really the desire for people to tell you how truly wonderful it all is, and be admiring of your both your possessions and your bravery. You want attention. In view of everything else in this world- grow up! And yes- I wrote this on-list, purposely. If it gets me kicked off, so be it. You have healthy children, a warm home, food on the table, and a husband who brings home his paycheck. Too bad you don't have a craft room. Most of us don't. Ask the soapers living in mobile homes on limited incomes how they manage. Or those whose incomes are being eaten up by my medication costs because they lack health insurance and are quite ill. Or are on food stamps. Or work full- time AND try to soap. I don't begrudge you your good fortune in living such a nice lifestyle. I just get tired and bored with your 'woe is me'. Guest guest
Deb, While I understand where you're coming from, I think you're being a little hard on Colleen. She is a great person with a warm heart and I doubt that she meant anyone to read her emails the way that you did. I'm sorry you felt offended. Guest guest
Deb, Sounds like you are having a BAD day and I hope it gets better! Everyone has a right to feel any way they want AND to share it with the list. This list encourages OT topics and no one said everyone had to agree with all the posts, BUT there's no reason to attack someone you don't agree with! There's a delete button on your keyboard for a reason and you could have easily used yours if you got tired of reading Colleen's SC posts. " I " have enjoyed viewing Colleen's pictures and reading her posts. I think you are reading things between the lines that I'm not seeing and that aren't there. It IS hard to acclimate to a new area and smaller home than you had even if YOU don't think so. H.
Guest guest
You know, it dosnt matter who you talk to, the grass is always greener on the other side. yada yada Deb, your opinion was noted but lets not let this turn into a big ole cat spat. Im sure Colleen is very grateful for a good many things. As we all are. Plus all have the right to express thethings that are making us happy or sad. (Not at all like some others who shall remain unspoken about). When this bothers you feel free to use your delete button on posts you dont care to read. That is your right. This situation, In my opinion, Colleen is not about wanting attention, but rather to share among friends what is goin on in her life right now. That said, lets let this drop before someone gets hurt feelings. Shaye
Guest guest
*Falls out of her chair in shock!* Colleen is a joker... you have to know her and she is making light of her situation and sharing with friends. If you saw the size house she moved out of you would know why she's poking fun at her new house! Shutting up now before I get kicked off..... GRRRR Terri.... looking for that big red button she no longer has control of!!
