Guest guest
How about those drawer organizers that are the martha stewart brand they sell at kmart? The sides look pretty 90 degree to me. I have used velveeta lids before but they are a leeettle bit angled. Shaye Straight-sided mold? Does anyone have any suggestions for a straight-sided soap mold to make a loaf of mp soap in? I don't want slanted/angled sides, but 90 degree corners. Maybe between one and two pound capacity. Everything I have or have seen has slanted sides. I'm picky, I want them straight, LOL! I also prefer it to be a clear mold so I can see the soap from all sides. See, told you I was picky! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Colleen Country Meadow Creations http://www.countrymeadowcreations.com
Guest guest
I know what you mean. I tried a plastic container-like a food storage thing, the side definately slanted. I hated it LOL. I ended up getting my dad to make me a mold but it was too darn big....
Guest guest
You can have them made to the exact size you want at a glass supply shop if that will help. I used to have some when I did a lot of m & p. Lexan or Plexglass will work but a bit of mold release and some foul language is needed to get the log out. Guest guest
Colleen: I'm considering making them. Just before the holidays I got some of the welding solvent. I have 2 of these molds and like them, but can see room for improvement. One is to round the sharp corners of the plexiglass. I personally have cut myself on more than one occasion, luckily not too bad. There's no one making them right now. A supplier in Tx worked with someone who did a lot of plexiglass work but that supplier isn't in business any longer. I'll let you know how I make out. Give me measurements and allow a little room for shrinkage. Bob > Does anyone have any suggestions for a straight-sided soap mold to > make a loaf of mp soap in? I haven't seen them. I've got a rubbermaid one, but it angles some. That's my problem right there. I don't want to fight & swear at it to make it come out of the mold. I want it nice & easy! If you have any made let me know how they turn out. I don't know what size I'd want. I just know I want straight sides without a lot of fussing to get the bar the way I want it. I'm just sooo darn picky! Colleen Country Meadow Creations http://www.countrymeadowcreations.com
