Guest guest
Hi Shaye, sorry i got side tracked making all of these products. Yes, i believe i received them the next day and by the way, thank you for the soap, is that the name of the oil, or what kind of oil F/O did you use?? It is great, real pretty, do you make your own labels or order them? I made some plum spice, let the temps go real low, and i didn't have a problem with the soap this time, (Crossed Fingers!)Thanks for your help, Ps, did you ever use sand in your products, i went to AC and bought some art sand, b/c it was fine, and added i think 1/8 or 1/4 to a 4.2 # batch, a little too much, what do you recommend? Guest guest
Shaye More or less, about 3 months. If it's a " seasonal " soap like Xmas I do them right after Xmas. If they don't sell after a while in the " sale " basket, I have the shop cross them off the list & make a note that I took them home. Then I remelt them into something else or use as " cut ups " in a loaf mold. Pricing venting I have some trouble with pricing some of my fancier MP soaps. For example, I made .5 oz little duck guest soaps with painted on beaks and eyes and packaged 5 of them in a clear plastic box with pretty blue easter grass. They were sooo adorable this way I wish I'd taken pictures of how they were packaged. Anyway so I take that into the store yesterday among other cute stuf and I hve them marked $4.95. The owner of hte shop thinks my prices are too low. In her cute Westchester county NY (where she is from I think) voice she says, How you gonna make any money?? LOL When I tell my hubby, he says leave yoru prices alone... he thinks I charge too much for my stuf. (mainly cuz he would never pay the prices I charge for my stuf cuz he is cheep) When you first put somethng new " out there " its hard to know what the market will bear. Do you guys struggle with this too? Shaye
Guest guest
Thats the great thng about MP is you can change the seasons of the soap LOL. And the scent can just be called any thing you want it to be. Shaye Pricing venting I have some trouble with pricing some of my fancier MP soaps.
