Guest guest
...... the question seems to have been pretty well settled.... It does raise another question, most obvious..... " Convincing him to get an exploratory US for $250.00 when his pain is at 1-2 of 10 for 1-5% of a day wasnt gonna happen! " This is the sad truth for many conditions and many we encounter in our practices...just what level of pain/cx would it actually take to motivate him? The part such individuals don't seem to notice, is just HOW MUCH that '1-5%' affects the other parts of the day....and the longer effects on individual vitality... rather like running sand in the oil of your BMW 'for only 5% of the day'.... and it's hard to convert those so afflicted with notions of their own immortality.... I used to try telling similar pts " I will work as hard as YOU do at getting you well " .....this strategy was not successful with many in spite of efforts to recruit the patient into helping out.... Then again, just how much of a cut in his alcohol hobby would it take to pay for the information he isn't interested in getting....as it will lead to suggestion he moderate that which he obviously enjoys more than living a full life......
