Hi Tammy!

Have you tried to call her regular doctor?? Maybe they can suggest someone

or they can help.

My oldest daughter (non ds) has had the same issues and although she is not

sexually active

they put her on the pill it regulated her cycle and she had a lot less

cramps. Just a suggestion.

My question is to those of you with older girls.

I am in search of a gynecologist that has experience with disabilities.

My daughter started her menstral at 11 & is now 13. My concern is that

she is still not regular and sometimes comes on twice a month. It's

pretty hard on her with the cramps and cause she really doesn't

understand. We live in the Chicago, IL area.

I would love to hear some of your experiences and if/how you found a

doctor.

Brendon Carroll MD OBGYN at PAMC 503 256-1470. He's great and very into alternative care suggestions. He's also helped me in auto cases with pregnant patients or patients who have menstrual probs after lumbar injury.
