Guest guest
Dear Viv... I was JUST using a little sarcastic " humor " about M & P! IE: IT WAS A JOKE!!!! Now why would I ONLY do M & P if I did not look at what I can do with it? I have about 100 web sites saved on M & P.... I make beautiful M & P soaps... I was just " light-heartedly " asking if I could add fruit to it and not have it go rotten/rancid! Did you get around to answering my question BTW? Guest guest
Hi Misha, Sorry for the wrong impression. The are some in the soaping community who really do consider melt and pour soup a " cheaters soap. " I went to a soap gathering last fall and brought soaps molded in the Fine Arts molds. All these soaps were on the swap table, and were taken right away. When it came to judging nicest looking soap, I think this prejudice was in effect. When I showed my HP soap and M & P soap to one person at the gathering, I got the comment, " I don't want to see that [the M & P), that's not soap. " I've not used fruit in my soaps, I do make goatsmilk soap in Hot Process, and have never added a preservative. All the best, Vivian in Pa > Dear Viv... > I was JUST using a little sarcastic " humor " about M & P! > IE: IT WAS A JOKE!!!! > Now why would I ONLY do M & P if I did not look at what I can do with it? Guest guest
Thanks Nai. Do you toast your oatmeal before you add it to the melted soap? Carol
Guest guest
Mine doesnt' typically matter when it foams cause I put oatmeal in it, but I was told at one point that it was because it got too hot too fast. Guest guest
Nope. I just grind it up. It seems to work well. I gave my boss a gift basket for Christmas and now my unscented oatmeal soap is the only thing she can use!!!
