Guest guest
The Oregonian is running a series on medical malpractice. The Sunday piece profiled Dr Patel( formerly of Kaiser ) and more infamous for 13 deaths in Australia. Todays piece shows how OHSU , Kaiser and Legacy have failed to report medical malpractice settlements (not claims, but settled cases) to the BME for almost 15 years. It seems the true incidence of medical malpractice in Oregon may be much larger than previously shown. Compared to this medical fiasco, our OBCE looks very good. It's news like this that makes me proud to be a DC and glad to pay the lowest malpractice premiums of any physician category!
