Guest guest
Karrie has been in a self-contained classroom, upon a team decision, for about 4 months now. Her behavior has definitely gotten better, except.... I asked about the Intellikeys that Karrie was using per her IEP. She's had this goal and it's under adaptations, for 2 years now. Last year, she did well with it. Seems this year, she's made " insufficient progress " . After me visiting the class unannounced, I discovered that not only is she not making progress on it, they don't even have one for her to use! In talking with the OT (it's an OT goal), she said Karrie has never had any behavioral issues with her. Now the teacher says that Karrie hasn't had any instruction on the intellikeys because of her behavior with the OT. I kept her communication log and sent in a new book. The teacher has asked for the old log back, saying she makes copies for her personal documentation Question...should I send the log back in (keeping a copy for myself)? Does she legally have a right to keep a " personal documentation " file on my child? Sue mom to Kate 15 and Karrie 8 w/ds and other issues
