I went to the lye cal at Cranberrie Lane and put my recipe in and the lye was total different than the one at MMS what is up with that.. KIm Thanks for all help ... Here's one that I use: http://www.sciencemadesimple.com/conversions.html As for the difference in lye calculators.....each one uses slightly different sap values in the spread sheet....sometimes because there ARE different SAP values for oils. eg.: one suppliers cocnut oil may have one value...another suppliers might be a bit different.
