Guest guest
I think you should do whatever you can that won't harm you so you don't lose the momentum. Unless you are officially entered in the challenge it really doesn't matter which way you figure the time. Just keep eating clean and do whatever exercise you can ... that's what I'm doing until my back problem is over. And I MISS WORKING OUT!!! I'm still doing cardio tho. Rita Periods and working out I need some advice and support here. I did really well on my challeger up to week 5. I have irregular periods and started during week 2 by week 5 I got ill and my period is still going and I should be starting week 7 however the last two weeks I have been so wipped out from all the blood loss that working out is so hard for me. I have only made about 4 out 6 work outs since week 5 and I am working with my docter regarding my hormones however, she is on maternity leave. I am thinking about just modifying my work out untill my period stops and then jump back if full force. What do you all think. I do not want to quit so I have to keep making a presence at the gym to keep me interested. I do not know if I should just start over again or count all this time as well. I hope at least one of you wonderful ladies out there have some divine wisdome for me and able to inspire me. I need some inspirement. Thank you Karie
Guest guest
Kari, I think you should see a different doc until your's gets back. You cant go on for months like this! Plus, make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids, since you are contantly loosing them. I think I would add some of the power drinks as well, not the ones with so much carb (like Gatorade), but ones that are low carb. You are bound to be loosing a bunch of needed electrolites et all...Are you taking a good multi vitamin to? All that aside, you might need to back off on the work outs. I don't know if pushing on will harm you though, so talking to a doc is crucial at this time. Alys

Guest guest
thaks for the advice on the fluids. i am taking a good vitamine. Almos like a prenatial vitamin. I have talked to two of the different docters nurses and both of them are not really helping me. They want to do something different then what my dr and I have already talked about. Some of the pills that they have offered are likely to cause cancer in 50 years. See, My dr and I are watching the hormone change during my cycle to see how wacked the hormones are, we did one test already however these doctors won't order the other one. I am waiting for two more phone calls. So hopefully something good will turn out soon. However, thank you for your advice. Karie
Guest guest
Have you tried an iron supplement? I used to be a vegetarian and during my periods, I always had even lower energy and light- headedness due to not taking in AND losing too much iron in my blood. I think you need a perscription for the heavy duty kind, but you can get Ferrous gluconate over-the-counter.
Guest guest
Karie, personally I think you need to pause until you can figure out what the situation is. Is there another doctor you can see meantime? Ena. Periods and working out I need some advice and support here. I did really well on my challeger up to week 5. From another list I've been told that B complex and Magnesium work really well But I haven't tried it yet Serenity

I'm sorry you're not doing real well right now.. is there any way that you can see another doc in the meantime? Does your doc work in a practice with multiple docs? I think you should get this under control and then worry about what you'll do after that.. Serenity - crossing fingers.
Guest guest
For everyone who answered to my post last week, thank you ! I finally found a person who would order the test I needed and gave me the perscription I wanted.( I know what I need I have been dealing with it for the last 14 years). After stopping the bleeding and resting for a few days, I foundmyself back in the gym last night. Thank You all! Karie
