Guest guest
Hi, Has anyone else gotten a call from a "group of attorneys" out of Salem by a female named Sheri Gibson who says she want to set up auto accident referrals with your office? Yet she won't tell you the name of the attorneys, the address a land line phone number for contact. She leaves a number that is either a fax line at various times or is a phone line that rings for up to 2 minutes and goes to a canned recording saying, " the party you've dialed is not answering. This call will automatically disconnect in 15 seconds." Please respond to me off the listserv. Thanks, Minga Guerrero DC
Guest guest
Hi Minga, I think I did get a call from these guys. My contact was a actually a man, but I think it might be the same thing. It's an advertising gimick whereby they put a 1-800 # on a tv commercial and get people to call it. When they do, they refer them to you or others in the area that sign up for this. Guest guest
Doctors, Lawyers worth their salt do not do this type of business. It is a marketing ploy and generally they in turn refer the cases to other lawyers who have more experience and they happily collect a referral fee. I recently received a letter in the mail from a lawyer touting their vast experience and neigh on international cheers and acclaim for some such work they had done on a particular issue .Other than tooting their own horn about this there was nothing in that letter regarding true legal case experience that would make me go to this lawyer let alone refer a patient to them. Be ware of who you get into a professional relationship with and who you refer a patient to for legal help as ultimately that referral reflects upon you. sharron fuchs dc From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of deadmedSent: Wednesday, August 24, 2005 10:47 AM ; AboWoman@...Subject: Re: auto accident referrals Hi Minga, I think I did get a call from these guys.
