Guest guest Posted November 15, 2004 Report Share Posted November 15, 2004 , thought I'd update you and everyone at the same time! Time is so stretched thin here! Karrie has had a pretty rough time since May. In 3 months, she got 5 new diagnosis. Ok, maybe it was rougher for me, since it didn't really seem to affect her too much So, I've since pulled her out of her inclusive 2nd grade classroom. There are 28 kids, 1 teacher in that room. She's now in the same size classroom, with only 7 kids and 3 teachers/assistants. Her behaviors (crawling under the desk, hitting, screaming) have stopped. Her meds have reached their optimum level, also, I think. But, as with bipolar disorder, her moods are quick-changing and drastic. I'm wore out just trying to keep up with her moods! She was vomiting last night from around 7 p.m. until around 2:30 a.m., when the diarrhea started. I kept her home from school today. She seems great today....I feel pretty rough, though! She unfortunately hasn't learned to turn her head when she gets sick, so she had 3 baths and hair-washing within 2 hours time. After 6 sheet changes, p.j. changes and a marathon laundry session during the middle of the night, I think the worst of it is over. Life here is interesting, at the very least!
