Guest guest
Dear Doctors: Here is the follow up message on the Workers Compensation bill presently being forwarded by the unified effort of ODOC, CAO, and independent doctors. The letter gives you, and any DCs you might forward this to, a list of people to contact and what needs to be conveyed during those conversations. The time to act is now. It is the greatest effort we have put forth in 15 years to make a real change for our profession's involvement in Workers Compensation, and it is great to see we are doing it as a united profession. As you will note, it does not conflict with Dr. Saboe & the CAO's request for further study into the reduced WC costs with chiropractors as attending physicians, or the potential to regain full attending physician status in the future. While I am not involved in the WC system in any way, and have had no involvement in the work on this bill, I think it is a significant opportunity to benefit injured workers in this state, and present a unified front for the chiropractic profession at the legislature. I hope that regardless of your affiliation (or lack thereof) you will participate in helping your profession and patients. Respectfully, DeShaw, D.C, J.D.
