Hi,

I will be attending the gathering and I just started making candles. Still

going through LOTS of testing.

I'm in the same boat as ! Terri talks about how easy it is.

Another lists owner is talking about doing an online class. Sounds

interesting, just can't find time to try it. And also afraid of

having another addiction on my hands! LOL!

Gathering Attendees Please Read

Hey all,

I've been busy contacting suppliers for donations for our gathering and

I've

had a supplier ask me for the preliminary list of names of people

attending

our gathering. Angie from http://www.soapncandles.com didn't ask for

email

addresses, just your names. Please contact me privately at

brink@... and let me know whether you DO or DON'T mind sharing

your

names with a supplier. Please include your last name if you don't mind

sharing your name as attending the gathering. I will not share your

last

name with her if you state you do not want me to. A couple of suppliers

every year require names of attendees and sometimes email addresses

before

they will donate. For past gatherings it was decided not to share any

information but this year I thought I'd let you each decide for

yourselves.

Thanks a million,

H.

asked me a good question so I thought I'd post the answer here in case

some of the rest of you were wondering too. < Why do they ask...is it

because they want to make sure they're supplying to a real gathering instead

of just somebody soliciting donations?>

Angie said she uses the information to decided how many of her current

customers are attending, if her donation resulted in new customers and to

decide how much and what her donation will be. If she donates to the same

gathering year after year without gaining any new customers it's not cost

effective.

I totally understand her reason for asking but respect anyone's decision not

to share their name for whatever reason.

When do you have to know for sure who will and won't be attending the

gathering? I would really like to go but I am just not positive yet.

Thanks,

Hi ,

I'll put you down as a maybe. As soon as you are sure of your decision let

us know. At the latest we'll need to know about 3 weeks prior to the

gathering. That's when I'll have to send a final count to some suppliers

who requested an updated count.

Thanks,

H.
