Why don't you ask your friend that question? Are they a chiropractor?

If yes, why would they agree (which they obviously did) to allow and

insurance adjustor to come to his/her office? Has the patient given

thieir consent to the insurer...to the chiropractor?

Visit from insurance companies?

I remember reading something about this on the

site about a year ago. I was talking to a

friend who said he has got an insurance adjuster

coming to his office next week. Why would an

insurance adjuster want to visit your office? What

are their motives, besides just wanting to get out of

the office?

Thanks In Advance,

OregonDCs rules:

1. Keep correspondence professional; the purpose of the listserve is to

foster

communication and collegiality. No personal attacks on listserve

members will be

tolerated.

2. Always sign your e-mails with your first and last name.

3. The listserve is not secure; your e-mail could end up anywhere.

However, it

is against the rules of the listserve to copy, print, forward, or

otherwise

distribute correspondence written by another member without his or her

consent,

unless all personal identifiers have been removed.

Hi All

In California they are doing this and want to see the clinic so they can

take pictures of your equipment - modality machines etc. Then they compare

what you bill against what they see AND photograph for procedures.

GET THE PICTURE??????????

That makes me want to get a room set up with a metal table hung from chains,

a jacobs ladder device, all sorts of ancient electrical machines, and

various unrelated things like jumper cables, small TV sets, egg beaters,

etc. to display.

,

The last time this was done in CO Allstate got hit with about a $325K judgment

on $1500 in bills they denied because the doc refused to let them enter his

office and interview his staff. It is a fraudulent scheme to intimidate docs,

and if you want to have your friend contact me I will be happy to give him some

ideas.
