Hi Amy,

First of all welcome to the group! And since you were in my little town I

love when people love it here! Next time you will have to let me know you are

coming- I sorta am a great welcome wagon to out of towners that may make it to

the buddy walk in NYC. My daughter was on the video for 5 years in a row-

just keep sending photos- she shows up everywhere, brochures, the slide show on

the NDSS web site- everywhere!

I know about that proud moment- it was my proudest moment also the first time

she was in Times Square. She's 14 now and doing quite teenagish these days.

Again, welcome and any time you come to the big apple- give me a holler!

Hi,

My name is Amy. 2 wonderful boys. My best friend , and the

best big brother who is 6 and in 1st grade.

And my ie(DS), who will be 4 this June/05.

I never knew a love like the love I have them both.

We live in Mississippi,.......anyone else out there from the south?

This past fall we went to NYC for the Times Square video....yes

ie was one of the ones picked. I have never been so proud.

I met several wonderful people there, and hope to go back again. I

absolutly LOVED NYC!! My husband , well not so much. He is very

much a southern home-buddy, but a great daddy! Next time it might be

a girls wekend out with the kids!

When there, I saw C McGinnley (the guy from Scrubs) taking a

break by a tree, and we got his picture with ie! When I get

more computer savey, I will try to add it to the pictures.

I cant wait to go to more Buddy walks this fall. I wished DS

Awareness was more than one month though..it seems everyone has a

Buddy walk on the same weekend......I want to go to all I can! I

just love seeing all the beautful kids, and meeting other parents.

We have had a very healthy year so far! YEAH!

ie had several pneumonias (sp?) his first year. Then got RSV

and that was the biggest scare we have had! He needed AV canal

repair, but the surgery had been put off, so that he wouldnt be in

the ICU with all the RSV patients. His card didnt want him catching

it! We almost lost him!

Anyway that is in our past now.

He had his heart surgery, went thru it with flying colors!!

This was right before his first b'day.

Well enough about us. I look forward to metting all of you,...and

ie is in my lap now. He is very curious about this

computer...we just got it a week ago! He keeps trying to type with

me!
