Guest guest
Hi All, So glad that my 'test' has started this introduction, have really enjoyed the read. One thing I have learnt on this group is - when Tim is posting to make sure I read the posts in order - not from the top down but from the bottom up!! A little about me - We live in a small rural town in Australia - about 200 k's south west of Melbourne (heading towards Leis country!!) I am married to , have been for nearly 31 years - we have four children - is 24 and currently on a WHV in England and spent Christmas in Paris. is 23 - qualified as a Div 1 Nurse and decided that she doesn't like nursing - taking off in March to live in Japan and teach English. Trent is 20 - is our angel with DS - enjoys his day program placement and hates being home during holiday time. Very intelligent young person, with little speech to back this up. Loves watching the Simpsons, the Weather Channel and DVD's and as mentioned previously by Sandy he also likes to spread all the DVD's around him on the floor. At the moment he is well into a Robbie live concert DVD - so he can scream along with them. Loves his cricket, this cricket receiving a bag, leg pads, batting gloves and helmet - think this has been his best Christmas yet. His health is generally good, does have ear problems we have to watch - constant ear infections generally caused by water in ears - so no more swimming which is very hard for him - though I will again this year allow him to go surfing - figure salt water isn't as bad as cholorine. Shannen - our baby is 18 - finished secondary school this year and started a traineeship as a Dental Nurse, like her sister though has decided she doesn't like her career choice. She is thinking of leaving and doing a course on Hospitality Management but not getting a lot of support from me on this one. We have a pet cat named Tosh - as spoilt as most household pets are. A goat named Spyro - his purpose for being one of our pets, was to munch down the grass in the back paddock - since having a goat we have learnt that goats are very fussy eaters and would prefer trees, plants, bread and most other things before grass. We also have four sheep in the paddock which technically belong to the cricket club, one day the cricketers will prepare them for a function!!!! and I are partners in our own business - he does all the manual work I do the book work and spend the money (not really he spends more than I do. Until this year, I worked as a sports coach at Geelong Grammar School and as a english conversation teacher/tour guide for groups of international students here on homestay. Trent and I both enjoyed our holiday to the UK & Europe - and planning our next adventure! Keep smiling Jan,
