Endometriosis2. PCOS (for those of you wondering what I'm talking abouthere, I'm talking about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)3. Vulvodynia4. Generalized Anxiety Disorder5. Osteoarthritis (left knee moreso than the right but Ithink that the right might be starting to catch up with theleft)6. I suffer from the following: food and environmental allergies, asthma, osteoarthritis, near-osteoporosis, I had a hysterectomy for uterine fibroids and a Fallopian cyst, problems with maintaining my internal temperature since it tends to follow the external temperature, I have problems with being in the sun or under fluorescent (sp?) lights, TemperMandibular Joint disorder (TMJ), PostTraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), possible fibromyalgia (according to a former doctor), possible lupus (according to the aforementioned former doctor), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and possible Tourette's syndrome (according to the aforementioned former doctor). I will turn 36 on December 18, 2001. I also apparently have IBS which my biological mother also has. I have my biological mother as well as a step-mother. It will also help new people to know that I have a biological father as well as a step father and that the 2 children that I had had 2 different fathers. The things that we have in common are: TMJ fibroids ( to have a needle aspiration etc soon) food and cosmetic allergies Poly cystic ovaries and breasts over sensitive to cold ( I even wear a woolen cardigan in the summer) reation to being in the sun (rashes) possible SLE (could be Sjogrens though we are not sure yet) FMS/CFS IBS and my two children also have two different fathers I am 34 so we are close in age too. > My name is and I am 35 years old. Guest guest Posted July 19, 2001 Report Share Posted July 19, 2001 Hi Kristy :-) Seems Polycystic ovaries seem to go hand in hand with IBS, maybe it is triggered hormonally? Do you get cysts that burst? I do occasionally, and it is just like being in labour. Thankfully it doesnt happen too often. A question for you, I have been getting really scant periods (heaps of pain, very little bleeding) for the past 6 months, seems as though every period is more painful than the last. Is this your experience also? I have asked my specialist about it and he wants to do a needle biopsy (fluid in the abdominal cavity - might be fibroids yet, so that may be causing some of the problem too) Thought I would ask as I dont know too much about it yet, and any info is good :-) Seems there are a few of us here with many of the same symptoms. I hope the TMJ never comes back for you, it can be soo painful, with the neck and headaches that seem to go with it. What are you doing differently that you are not getting pain from it now? Guest guest Posted July 20, 2001 Report Share Posted July 20, 2001 , My IBS and my PCOS don't go hand in hand. That might be the case for someone else though. I've not had a period in almost 4 years so I don't have the problems that you are having with your periods. But I would also suggest that you let your specialist know that you want a laparoscopy as well as a hysteroscopy b/c that will show the fibroids (the hysteroscopy will). If you are afraid of needles then that would be the best, especially if the endo is possibly recurring for you. I am not on any treatment for my TMJ.
