Guest guest
Hi my name is Sherri 34 an I have a wonderful husband named Dean who is 29 and we have two absolutely gorgeous children Tayler 6 who has down syndrome and Cierra who just turned 5 before Christmas. Tayler was our first child and was born with downs, which we did not know until the day after he was born. He has had no major health issues, he does wear glasses (why I do not know , he sees fine without them) he has had several bouts of tonsillitis and has had his adenoids removed previously and tubes inserted. He is currently fully included in our school system in grade 1, he has a 1 to 1 aide for the academic part of his schooling and no aid for the rest. He has very clear speech moves well with his gross motor and does extremely well with his fine motor skills.he attended 3 and 4 year old preschool and Kindergarten without an aide. Tayler was fully potty trained by the age of 4. A little blurb about Cierra now She came along to us 16 months after Tayler did and she has learned as Tayler has, she picks things up much faster and is very smart, She is in Kindergarten and doing extremely well, she can count to 50 , write approximately 1000 words with a little bit of help. She has talked since she was about 1 year old and never stops anymore. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and got married when I was 8 months pregnant with Cierra and Tayler was our ringbearer with my mom pushing him in a stroller. My husband works as a diesel technician and I spend my days at home being a mom.
