Liam started doing this too. I asked the PT if she thought he should have orthotics again, but she didn't say. I'll try the arch supports for now. Guest guest
Would a pinched nerve show up on an xray? That's what my husband thought it could be too. Now the doctor didn't say it was a torn cartilage, but he did say a " piece " of calcified cartilage is what he saw on the xray. I was so tired and out of it by the time we saw him that now I am finally thinking and mad at myself for not asking more questions. I had torn cartilage and it is most painful when I hyper-bend it which seems to be what did. My orthopedic surgeon says pain causes swelling and swelling causes pain. I'm going to need a replacement someday, but in the meantime I use one of those stretch ace knee braces, for a little extra support and to minimize the swelling, when I know I have a lot of walking to do. Guest guest
Jackie - does he wear arch supports? 's gait changed and he was really dragging his feet when he walked. He also was complaining of his feet bothering him. Tim took him to a good shoe store where he was fitted (at no charge) with arch supports. It made a world of difference in his gait and he no longer complains of his feet hurting. The shoes were only $42.00. It's worth a try - until you get in to see the ortho. 's feet also grew alot this summer. He went from a size 3W in July to a size 5W (Men's size) in September. That would come out to a size 7.5W for women...my size...lol. So, I told Tim if he ever can't find 's shoes in the morning, he could wear a pair of my tennis shoes My foot fit perfectly into 's shoe. I hope feels better soon. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
