Guest guest
Lee The joke Latin for " Don't let the bastards grind you down " is " Nil illegitimi carborundum " . " Per ardua ad asbestos " is a line from a SciFi story in which a character has been singed by a volcano on an alien planet and is a play on the motto of the Royal Air Force " Per ardua ad astra " - " through struggle (or hardship or adversity) to the stars " - It's a very esoteric reference 'though the phrase is in occasional use to describe an individual becoming " fireproof " through his or her thorough preparation. Do you remember the " 6 Ps of project management " - " Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance " . Still rambling - meds again - got to go sleep for an hour or so. The motto of my school was " Studiis Occasiones Augmentum " - " Study increases opportunity " which we boys translated as " Study occasionally in August " .
