Guest guest
Some women split the regular Myoplex because it has 42 grams of protien in it. If they are spliting them it is because they want around 20 grams a meal. Guest guest
Linet - Firstly, I know this all seems confusing as you are new... I remember feeling the same way! 1. You do not have to use the shakes at all if you don't want to. 2. There are more than one kind of Myoplex shake: Regular and Lite. Regular has 42 grams protein and 24 carbs. When I called EAS they said to use Regular if you are over 190 lbs. (so I did and had fabulous results). Lite has 25 grams protein and 20 grams carbs. Most women on BFL shoot for between 20-30 grams of each per meal. EAS said after you drop under 190 lbs to switch to the lite version (so I did and continue having fabulous results). Because I did not want to waste my investment of Regular Myoplex I used half portions and supplemented a carb to make a meal replacement. 3. I have only once made the shakes according to the package directions (adding 15 oz water for Regular and 10-12 oz water for Lite) as I find this much too thick and pudding like. I use about 22 oz for Regular and 18 or so for Lite. 4. Will it stall your weight loss to drink shakes? It did not stall mine, but I now avoid them unless I just really don't feel like preparing anything else mainly because they are processed, cost a lot of money, and I am trying to adapt this to a lifestyle where I do not have to purchase special shakes all the time. Hope this helps and keep up the questions! Park Yet another shake quetion Yes i see that alot of you say that you seperate the shake but the gram are the right grams for one serving if you are going to subsitue it for a meal which is what Bill states in the book like a mealreplacement because a lot of people do not have time to get the 6 meals a day so he design these shakes with the right minerals and vitamins, protien, and carb grams that you are suppose to comsume in one sitting. ok so why do you guys say split them? Also Bill says to have at least 2 a day and he does not state to split them he says drink a whole serving of shake. Is this going to stall your weight lost if you do drink the 2 shakes daliy? because i am following the program by the book and i brought about 2 months supply and the custmor service also told me it is about an estatmate of 2 shakes a day. IS it because people can not drink the whole thing because they are so thick? Linet

When I used shakes, and I don't anymore, I split them because 42 grams of protein was too much for me for one meal. I try to get around 30. > Also Bill says to have at least 2 a day and he does not state to split them > he says drink a whole serving of shake. Shakes may be easy but, if you eat a varied diet, completely unnecessary The shakes are also pretty high in calories. Now I don't count calories but I know that I don't want as many as are in a shake all at one meal (I'm talking about the regular shakes here.. not the lite ones!) Guest guest
When I read BFL, and I have a TERRIBLE memory so take that into account, I think it says you need to use ONE product during your official challenge. I took it to mean that you only had to have one shake (one time)...one time, not everyday or so. For me, the book falls pretty short on nutrition. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the product thing, will ya? Thanks, Astra Re: Yet another shake quetion lilimama@... wrote: > Yes i see that alot of you say that you seperate the shake but the > gram are the right grams for one serving if you are going to subsitue it for > a meal which is what Bill states in the book like a mealreplacement because a > lot of people do not have time to get the 6 meals a day so he design these > shakes with the right minerals and vitamins, protien, and carb grams that you > are suppose to comsume in one sitting. ok so why do you guys say split them? You'd have to call EAS though to find out if they mean daily or only once ever I don't know either! Serenity
Guest guest
Astra, I honestly don't remember the book saying anything about HAVING to do the shake during the challenge - I would assume only during the official challenge which I imagine would be included in the packet they send you. In his sample menus he has shakes 3x daily! I didn't realize when I first bought the book that he was connected with EAS. I agree he falls short on nutrition in the book ... thats why I turned to Hussman.
