Guest guest
Hi there! I am very new to the group, as of Easter Sunday, but have been following Jo's progress since I got the email. What a great thing, that she can at least try to type...shows she is alert, and trying hard to communicate. God willing....she will improve every day. From what I have read, Jo is well-loved...Kathy :0)
Guest guest
Okay, you won't believe your eyes when you read this. Today when the therapist was here I asked her if Jo couldn't read on the computer a little, I figured it wouldn't be impossible if you make the font really big and then let someone she likes chat to her. But that stupid idiot said Jo would only get frustrated and discouraged. She didn't show any progress at all while the therapist was here, she hardly answered yes or no questions and we all though she was worse then yesterday. Anyway, i didn't think reading while someone she really likes is chatting to her would harm, so i set the font really big and let a guy from America talk to her. After just a minute or two she started trying to type! She can't use her fingers at all, but she is using the back of her hand, just where the littlw finger starts. It's not easy to understand what she is saying, but she is trying. Haha, I don't think she likes that therapist, she all made us believe she was worse just to do this an hour after she left. I'll paste some of what she said. <dasurfer> hhppoowwwwwwwwv aaaassreeeeee yyyyyuuoiu =how are you <PinkSmurf> UIIIIIIIIUUUUU''''++MMNNNNNMMMMMM GHHHHHGGHHGGAAAAASAOOOOPPOPPOOOOPOOOUYYUYUYYYYTTTT =I'm happy (I think) Well, it's not really easy to read, but she is trying and I hope it might get better, that would make communication much easier. Guest guest
Dear Jo and f, First to you f, thanks for keeping us posted on Jo's progress. I'm sorry that I can't get in to the chat room to talk to her when she came in the other day and tried to type. I had one of the other girls pass on a message to her for me. Please know that I'm here for you all and I will be keeping up with the notes that you send. Now to you Miss Jo, I think of you quite often and hope that you will get better very soon as you are such an inspiration to me. I may have a lot of pain b/c of my physical problems but when I read of what you are going thru then I know that my problems are nothing. Thank you for your courage and inspiration. Please know that we miss you very much and look forward to hearing from you again soon. Lots of hugs to you sweetie and you have such a wonderful brother. Know that I will be thinking about you often every day. Talk to both of you again soon. Also f, it's ok to call me Kristy but I thank you for the courtesy of calling me Miss the last time that you wrote to me. I care very much about Jo also. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Jo is a beautiful person. She seems more concerned about other people than herself. I find that amazing because she must be in so much pain. I am glad I met Jo because she makes me realise that even if things seem really bad, it is still possible to be courageous and a caring and lovely person. Thanks for telling us all how she is, f. You have a wonderful sister. Take care, CZ _________________________________________________________
