Suddenly, my friend caught hold of my throat and pressed with his fingers just above the adam's apple. I know that he did this playfully. After 5 to 10 seconds I was able to free myself from his grip and I felt mild pain on that day. But from the next day onwards I began to feel sharp pain in that area when I swallow something. I did not approach any doctor until now. Could anybody please advise me regarding this matter. Is this a serious condition? Is there any bone dislocated, or is it enough to take some analgesic? I would be grateful if anybody can help me out of this painful situation. For me orange juice seemed to aggravate my gout every time I would drink it. I also stay away from alcohol and am still trying to find a diet I can follow to reduce my gout attacks. It's terrible having any kind of disease especially when you're young and can't do things most people can do. I have one son affected who is 25 yrs. old and a 20 yr. old daughter who is not affected. I have been through menopause and would like to have information associated with Fragile X and early menopause. I have tried a few different options for hormone replacement therapy with unpleasant results. I have an appointment with a specialist in May and would like to have as much information associated with Fragile X as I can. I am very sensitive to any medication and wonder if this isn't associated with Fragile X as well? Tylenol puts me to sleep and Advil wakes me up!! Thanks for any information or websites to help. I also have degenerative spondylolisthesis almost at grade two. Last week I believe I put my back out but can't remember how! I have tried ice, heat and hot tub. Yes, it can make you very cold; your feet and hands especially. I didn't have a lot of pain when I came down with fibromyalgia, but graduated into it. Though the peppermint does not take care of all of my symptoms, it does help with diarrhea. I have been reading everything I can on herbal remedies because I got tired of the doctors putting me on Prednisone every time I walked into the office. This is what I have found out: marshmallow root, & wild yam help to heal the intestines and reduce inflammation. Echinachea helps with overall healing of the digestive system. And valerian and chamomille help to relax spasms and reduce pain. I buy these herbs in bulk, including the peppermint and add two teaspoons of the mixture to a tea bag. With two teaspoons of sugar and hot water,I drink this once a day or every other day. Though it does not cure the disease, I function almost normally and have no side-effects. Good luck! Weekly acupuncture treatments reduced swelling and pain significantly and the relief lasted for several months. Now the pain, swelling and restricted range of motion is so bad I am considering surgery. What can I hope for? What can I expect? I suffered from a fever, fatigue and other severe symptoms for about 2 weeks. I still have a couple of swollen lymph nodes in my neck. They are not nearly as severe as they were. I had many more. Is it normal to still have them and will they ever go away? Could it be something else? If anyone has an answer, I would really appreciate a reply. Thanks. They said that it is somewhere in the brain that they can't operate on. She won't talk to the family about it. Does this mean that it could burst at any time? I actually have a history of always getting sore throats but have never had my tonsils removed. Finally, I went to my GP for a physical and he suggested I see an ENT and diagnosed me with cryptic tonsils. The ENT doctor agreed that I would be a good candidate for removal of tonsils. I have heard mixed reviews about the procedure and recovery. I have two ENT's, one is a face and neck surgeon also who explained that he does an extra procedure which entails suturing the tissue to cover where the tonsils are removed. Evidentally, this cuts the recovery in half and is a lot less painful. I don't know the name; they refer to it as flaps. Anyway, any information anyone can give sure would be most helpful and greatly appreciated. I am a little uncomfortable with this. Thanks! a. I am 22 years old and have horrible pain in my abdomen and lower back, accompanied by extreme fatigue and loss of appetite. My doctor said I might have an ovarian cyst, and that I should see my gynecologist in order to get a sonogram. I am scared that I might actually have ovarian cancer, and was wondering if waiting three weeks for my gyno appointment was the right thing to do, or if I should seek treatment sooner. Thanks in advance for any help. -Sharon To reply to this message, <a href= " http://www.healthlinkusa.com/forum/reply_64271.html " >Click here</a> or go to http://www.healthlinkusa.com/forum/reply_64271.html To post a new message, <a href= " http://www.healthlinkusa.com/forum/new_post.html " >Click here</a> or go to http://www.healthlinkusa.com/forum/new_post.html ------------------------------------------------------------- 16 month old with no diagnosis He has hypotonia, can't crawl, can't sit up, is very flexible, rolls everywhere, been through all kinds of testing.
