Guest guest
I do not practise CRON on special occasions. They are rare and should not affect anything. Life is too short (pardon the pun) to avoid having a good time once in a while. Roy Walford set a good example in this regard. After the event I get right back on the CRON bandwagon. I find this works well for me. That said, I either avoid dessert (except for fruit), white bread or blatently " bad " foods or else just sample a very small amount. Guest guest
I would say that my family is practicing more of the CRON lifestyle each year during the holidays. Some will eat more than others, but by-and-large, to avoid getting "old", or lose weight, or just eat better, there seems to be a flow toward a healthier lifestyle. We don't force anyone to do anything, but if they want gravy, or salt, or excess sweets, they have to bring it or add it. More and more the role of the "patriarch" (I hate that word), is to lead by example (how else can you lead a younger). Last week we had a gparents day at the preschool, and a lot of sweet grains were served, but I NEEDED them to keep up with my 4 yo. Regards.
