Guest guest
Hi! My little (5 1/2) Downs Blessing gets croup easily. And usually we have to run him to the emergency room for steriods to get the swelling on his breathing tubes to go down. He hates it, we hate it, it taste worse than worse. So wondering if anyone knows any thing that could help. We do the humidifier, take him outside in the cold air, take him in the steamy shower, and all of those are very temporory helps. I'm sure if I could get him eat more healthy, it would prevent him from getting colds, but thanks to DS, he refuses to eat most foods. Infact his diet consist of: Orange juice (frozen), milk, cereal (cheerios, life), applesauce (bottled), peas (frozen), eggs, madrian oranges, chips, crackers, and popcorn. He has been eating this for two years, and appears healthy. No matter how hard I try to get healthy things down him, he gags and refuses to eat. I think he'd starve. Oh, he also likes his dads soda and beer, which he only gets sips of occasionally, usually when he see the glass and no one around. Last night we figured we'd be heading to the emergency room, just love those middle of the night trips, but my husband sat up holding him all night, making two trips outside in the cold air. He made it through the night. Yea!! Though tonight will probably be worse. Any help/advice appreciated. Thanks!
