You were thinking with your heart Sue! And maybe you saved that woman's

life. You are a hero in my book and I know in your kid's book as well! Loree

What a story, huh??

you were thinking you needed to save their lives and you did.

You would never have forgiven yourself if you had read their obituaries and

realized you could have saved them. You did what you were called to do.

Last evening, around 6:30, my girls and I were headed home. There is a bank

around the corner from our house. As we passed this bank, I saw 2 cars

parked strangely, with a woman around 30, a man around 30, a man around 60,

and a little girl, maybe 10.

The older man looked to be hugging the woman, while the younger man was

holding his head. The little girl was jumping up and down. I got a really

bad feeling about the situation and drove around the block and came back.

The older man was hitting the woman, the younger man was bleeding pretty bad

from the back of his head. I pulled up near (about 10 feet) them and called

911. The woman was screaming the older man still slugging her. I honked my

horn, the older man turned and the lady got away.

The older man was her father, evidently demented. He had hit her husband

(the younger man) in the head with a wrench. He had hit her several times

with the same wrench. The poor child was hysterical. The lady ran to my car,

begging me to help her. I told her the police were on the way. She said her

dad (who wasn't drinking, btw), was out of his mind. She was shaking and

kept grabbing my hand. She was bleeding pretty badly. Luckily, the police

responded quickly.

Not until I pulled into my driveway did I think that someone could have had

a gun. My kids were in my car. What was I thinking???? I've been half-sick

all day.

What a story, huh??

Sue, well done and being a wonderful caring and thoughtful person,

rather than I can see those people are in trouble but I don't want

to be involved type.

Don't worry about the 'what if's' because they didn't happen, now

give yourself and the girls a treat for being so wonderful

Keep smiling
