Where did you ever get the idea that you can cut to 400 cal or less? Have you read Walford? (Reading BT120YD is a MUST READ here). I hope this is a joke. I doubt anyone can live on 400 cal a day.

You are barely getting enough nutrients at 1000 cal a day. At 6'3 and about 143 pounds you are severely underweight. This group is about MODERATION.

SEE OUR FILES WHICH DISCUSS THE DANGERS OF EXTREME CRON!!!

and weigh 66 Kgs.

I run 60+ miles a week and 100 in summer.

I have around 1000 calories per day, but fast periodically. I'm never

ill and very fit. Waist size is 26 inch.

I'm planning to cut to 400 calories or lower, which should I do?

Been doing this for a few years, but want to see how far to go safely.

I eat heathly. No meat, but brown bread, rice and salads.

Hi :

According to Nutritiondata.com - a very professionally organized

health website - running 10 miles a day, which I assume you do on

average, just at a moderate 10 minute mile pace, burns 1293 calories,

on its own, forgetting all the other functions your body needs to use

calories for. That is 29% more than the total you ***claim*** to be

consuming.

Their analysis indicates in addition that if you are entirely

sedentary the rest of the day, except for your running, you will need

a total of ~3700 calories to maintain your weight.

So the data you provide make absolutely no sense. Nor do your plans,

of course.

Rodney.
