bummer.

Not to disagree, but think this out.

It's rec'd by Dean Ornish.

"Everyone in the field of nutrition science stands on the shoulders of Dr. , who is one of the giants in the field. This is one of the most important books about nutrition ever written - reading it may save your life."

35 pages of references.

Reads like a textbook.

If I can't believe this book, then I hafta doubt anything ever written by any medical "scientist". So what do I use - I guess medical textbooks, the original full text articles, and draw my own conclusions.

Every scientist is biased in some way. Everyone has a hidden agenda it seems. Some people like Novick are rightfully biased toward their practice, which is probably more valuable than anything. My friend, Dr. Grim, is notably biased against sodium. And other doctor friends are biased against red meat, whatever, but do not eliminate meats from their diet. Or milk. There are few true vegetarians (vegans) and they always talk religion or animal rights. I pretty well shot them down on land/food efficiency
