Guest guest
Finally , after 2 years of lessons, Nic is pretty much swimming on his own. He used a noodle for the last couple of years and didn't want to cooperate with the private swim instructor (at Variety Club). Yesterday while in the pool, he kept tossing aside his noodle. I would tell him he has to have it but he would laugh and toss it aside then swim to either me or to the side of the pool. Now he's jumping from the ladder and swimming to the opposite side of the pool! Di
Guest guest
Di-that is so awesome! is 13 and has been in the water since she was like 2 days old and she still cant swim!!!!! I try so hard with her- holding her hands, letting her 'float' in my arms, holding on to the side of a pool. Nothing is working. She never had formal swimming lessons which I think will help, but I was hoping that 2 weeks at sleep away camp will help her out and someone will be able to teach her there. She is very big into " I can't " and that is very frustrating. I love to swim and I have been working so hard with her all these years. So I never get to just swim when I am with amanda at a beach or a pool- i have to stay with her in waist high water and keep encouraging her. Just as with you and Nic at the family functions- that can be very frustrating. Sigh....
