Guest guest
Just wanted to add my two cents here :-) Hey, I am Elaine Skinner, 45 from Winder, GA. I had my defib implant on 11/30/09 and it has a GPS device inside it. It was explained to me that should I be out in a remote area (which is likely since I like to primitive camp and such) if I have problems them 911 will be able to locate me via satellite. Also, I have a home monitor system and once a week I can sign in (touch screen) and it checks everything to do with my own defib automatically. I was given a special scale for my weight check (I can be as far as 20ft from the monitor and it can read my weight on the scale.. same with the blood pressure cuff I was sent with the scale). I really like it so far.. gives me a HUGE sense of security~ electronic security blanket haha My defib is a Guidant if that helps any. I am all new to this and hope that this has shed some light on your questions. I remember each of you in prayer and will say a special prayer for you for your upcoming procedure. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, an ICD with GPS? Never heard of it before. What model device do you have? -- Hugo Campos http://icdusergroup.org/ -- > > > Just wanted to add my two cents here :-) > Hey, I am Elaine Skinner, 45 from Winder, GA. > I had my defib implant on 11/30/09 and it has a GPS device inside it.
