- I have a slam dunk for shingles at any stage. It is Virox from Biogenesis. It is a patented extract from the herb Larrea tridentata also known as creosote bush, chaparral or Shegoi. There is actually some good research on it at www.larreamed.org/. It has worked well every time I have recommended it (about 6) including a case involving the CNS including the brain from a contaminated epidural!

You can talk to or order it from Hanning (Biogenesis) at 503-860-4740. jk

Good luck... jk

Post-shingles neuritis question

Anyone have any ideas for porst-herpetic neuralgia?

I have a pt. with bilateral sciatica-like pain unresponsive to provoking tests. It is worse when arising from sitting too long. Tight waistbands irritate the conditon. I'm thinking a low-grade case of shingles which may already be in the post stage with neuritis. Never had any skin lesions but I believe shingles in the lumbar area have a milder surface response than other areas.

I adjusted him, had ultrasound applied over the lumbosacral area (it will either irritate it or help it).

By the way, is there an accurate blood test for shingles?

Thanks,
