Guest guest
Hey folks, I got a little rambunctious with my kid at Cub Scout camp a couple of months ago and got talked into multiple flying headfirst dives on a makeshift slip and slide. A few days later, after demonstrating a stretch on a gym ball to a patient, I nearly fell on him with intense vertigo. Symptoms worsened as the evening progressed, until I used the Epley maneuver for BPPV with the aid of a colleague. Two rounds that evening, narrowly avoided tossing my cookies in the living room, but ~80% resolution. Fly in the ointment is I had some sinus stuff going on for several days too, so labyrinthitis is a possible DDX. My reading and schooling told me that labyrinthitis may have concomitant tinnitus. Of course, so does Meniere's. Most of the vertigo has resolved, but the tinnitus (without apparent hearing loss) remains. Anyone care to offer alternatives you've had success with in resolving tinitus and vertigo? Tx so far include manipulation of upper cervicals including CO-C1 (no apparent help), diuretic diet (maybe some decrease in Sx), oxymetazoline spray (probably the most help with residual vertigo, no help with tinnitus), habituation exercises a'la stuff in Don 's book. Any help appreciated. PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS! W.
