Guest guest
Connie, What time will be getting together on Saturday? Is there anything scheduled for Friday night? Would you and your crew like to come to the hotel and swim? I can call you when we get there. (mom to Bridget 12)

Guest guest
Connie - Well, you know I am always up for a get together. It's too early for me with dates. But if you find and pick a date, I will be there unless a family thing comes up (like a wedding or reunion). and I just returned from North Carolina. My youngest sister and her children went, too. My nephews and niece are so good with - never once did they express frustration with him (they are 16, 13 and 9) and they had many opportunities to do so. My 9 year old niece is so tiny and petite - she could pass for a 4-5 year old. treats her like a little fragile girl - it's funny to watch. She really is tough as nails. Guest guest
We are in San Diego, but used to live in the Bay Area, and my family is in Sacto, so we'd be game as well. The girls are well-trained I-5 road-trippers by now..... plug in the electronics, don't drink to much soda at the lunch stops, and look up and pretend to be interested when mom says " Oh look, cows " or " Oh look, a tomato truck " . Guest guest
Not that this matters, but it was explained to me by Kent Moreno that the spelling was correct, but meant something like a party or festival or something akin to that in Spanish, if memory serves me... Guest guest
We may be interested! We are on the southern Oregon coast. Would love to meet you guys in person. Keep us posted. Thank you, Kelli mom to Austin 10 DS & 14 months -- re: Suaree What about a new venue for the Soiree? By summer our family will finally all be moved to California with Jan here already. Any takers for a northern California Soiree? We haven't got Disneyland, but the town I'm in is a lot like West Virginia (old mining town just outside of San , at the bottom of Silicon Valley). We've got San Francisco close, also Monterrey and lots of other great things. There is a huge park for hiking just down the street and up the hill. It keeps Janet fit. Guest guest
I would love to attend the " soiree " in California! Coincidentally, my family has gone to CA in June for the last several years to visit my husband's brothers' family - they live in Fairfield. Maybe there should still be an East Coast get-together too, Connie - however informal it ends up being - not everyone can put their entire family on a plane to meet up with one another. I know, notice I didn't volunteer to coordinate the " shin dig/doodah " , I am just no good at these things! But it would be wonderful to meet Jan and Rick... , you'd just have to go! :-) What does Sharon think?? Patty kindafunny@... wrote: Well, Rick... two things... Guest guest
It seems to me that they did a Southwest Get Together in Phoenix the last couple of years. Anyone? If they are doing that, perhaps it could be combined with the CA one?
Guest guest
Sharon thinks they both sound great! I would love to go to one in California, but am afraid the flights from the east coast (and I mean the coast), would be cost prohibitive for us. I have always hoped to meet Jan and Rick, not to mention others from the western U.S. We could probably make an east coast gathering, can't give a definite yes right now, but might be able to do it. Guest guest
Interesting - I couldn't find it on any translation pages or my mini spanish-english dictionary - I'll have to ask kid #1 if she has it listed in her dictionaries. It could be specific to one or two countries or Kent was just pulling your leg...lol!
Guest guest
I think it was soiree in West Virginian, not Spanish. ; ) Judi Re: Suaree > ... and two... you just couldn't resist spelling > Suaree correctly, could you??
