Guest guest
Hello! I am a new member .. I am also fairly new to CR, as far as the title....have been following the principles of it for some time now and just didn't know what it was called. I average eating around 1,900 calories each day and burn quite a few of those off by walking 5 miles or more and doing a few other exercises. I am an " almost 51 " yr. old female and have a damaged mitral valve in my heart. I've lost 50 lbs. since July,'03 and managed to maintain this loss...currently 5'2 " and 122 lbs. My cardiologist is amazed at my ability to exercise like I do and to be able to walk the amount I do at the speed(4.0-4.2mph)without becoming winded. I attribute most of this to eating right. Hoping to hear from some of you and looking forward to reading your posts and helpful info. Kay
Guest guest
Congratulations on your achievement and welcome to the group! Please be sure to read " Beyond the120 Year Diet " , if you haven't already done so. This book is a " must read " for our group. And read all our files and links (see the left hand side of our site: /). These are invaluable to newbies. on 11/2/2006 9:26 AM, wlkrky at skayw49@... wrote: Hello! I am a new member .. Guest guest
Lesley, I am from the USA. My kids go to public school. One is not in regular classes but gets tutored twice a week instead. 3 of them have " IEP's " which means they are in special ed even though they are in regular education most of the day.
