Guest guest
Goodness! I cant wait to see the pix of these slippers!. I know what yo mean Terry, I am guilty of having had too many hobbies and too much stuf too. Hugz Shaye Knitting Crazy!! OMG what is it about knitting? It's just like, if not worse than quilting for me!! I can pass up quilting fabric right now(it's very hard to do, but I can LOL), but back a few years ago I'd grab it from anywhere no matter what the size either.... never know when you may need that little 4in by 4in scrap of pink of that old flannel shirt to add to the pile of old flannel shirts for that really warm quilt I'm going to make one day( I have 3 totes of fabric with quilts planned for every inch that I have squeezed in them).. . but now that I've started knitting I already have a pile of projects waiting for me to finish what I'm working on...... my sister gave me 5 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun a few nights ago... well I went out in this evening in search of more of the same color so I'd have enough to make a sweater. Did I find any... no, but I did find 1lb mill ends of the same brand so I bought enough to make 2 sweaters!! Now I can make a vest out of what my sister gave and 2 sweaters out of this other, but that's after I finish my felted clog slippers and seam up the side of a Wizards Scarf for Mikey. This is added to another lot of yard I have for a different sweater and yarn my sister bought and because she is such a new knitter she can't work with and is having me make a scarf for her. Plus I have enough yarn to make about 10 more pairs of mittens and a few pairs of half mittens! LOL I told Shaye about the slippers last week and as soon as I get the second one done I'll post before and after felting pic's. The one slipper that is done can fit bother Sherms foot and mine! I hope they shrink and felt ok or I'm going to have a HUGE slipper auction on eBay!! I'd say it's about a size 16!! Terri
Guest guest
I wish I could find someone to teach me how to knit and crochet. I have never been able to find anyone as I am left-handed. Any left handed knitters or crocheters that wanna teach a newbie how to knit and crochet? Dee Re: Knitting Crazy!! Guest guest
I think it is a crafter thing, Shaye. If you are creative, it usually spills over into multiple crafts. At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Dee Knitting Crazy!! OMG what is it about knitting? It's just like, if not worse than quilting for me!! I just have the lefties sit across from me and mimic my movements. Give it a try! Lizz
Guest guest
Lizz, no one around here will even let me in a class. I even had one lady who taught at Joann's tell me it would slow down the others. Dee Re: Knitting Crazy!!
