A Miracle?

The " average " results we get at our center are well

documented and published. And, they are averages.

Some do better, some not as well.

Today, I saw one that was nothing short of a

" miracle " .

A 39 yr old male came to the center on 10/5 because

his physical revealed a fasting blood sugar of 244,

cholesterol of 820, Triglycerides of 6095, and a HDL

of 16. He was slightly overweight.

Today I saw his final results before he left. Its

been about 5 weeks.

His fasting blood sugar was 150, his cholesterol was

145, his triglycerides was 172 and his HDL was 39.

His blood sugar and his TGs will continue to go down,

but to see this improvement in 5 weeks is nothing

short of a miracle.

Dont discount the impact a change in lifestyle can

have.

Regards

Jeff

Hey Jeff.

At a high level... what changes were made by this invididual that

produced such dramatic results?

Thanks. Mike

Hi Jeff:

In my opinion the single most important thing you could possibly do

with the data from this example is to document, in detail, exactly

what he had been doing before coming to the clinic.

Truly, this could give some gigantic hints to everyone about what

surely must be the worst combination of behaviours imaginable, that

need to be avoided like the plague!

The basic program they go on is the same...

The basics of it are

~60 minutes of exercise a day, mostly aerobic, with

both strength training and also stretching &

flexibility.

The diet is

~15% Fat

~20% Protein

~65% Carb

all unrefined unprocessed high fiber carb

(fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, starchy

vegetables)

cholesterol is under 50 mgs per day

sodium is under 1200 mgs per day

added sugars are less than about 5% of calories

saturated fat is less than 4% of calories

no trans fat, no hydrogenated fats

fiber is about 40-50 grams a day

Omega 3 rich Fish is served 3x a week (4 oz)

Chicken breast is served once a week (4 oz)

up to 2 servings of non fat dairy (or soy dairy) a day

820!? Blood still flows at that level? That's the

highest I've ever heard. Is there an upper limit to

cholesterol numbers? I wonder if the Guiness Book Of

World Records has one for LDL.

We have seen many high ones but I think this one takes

the cake.

On the initial draw, his blood was actually like a

milk shake. Very thick and white/yellow looking.
