Hi Y'all, We just got settled in Savannah. We have had one heck of a summer

and had 500 messages to check on when we finally got this thing up and running.

We didn't expect it to take that long but the cable company told us we would

have use of the net immediately and then crashed our computer for using it

" illegally. " It cost $100 and took a while to fix. has had a

WONDERFUL busy summer. He had SO swimming and YMCA swimming. He and his best

friend (17 DS) went together. He got most improved swimmer at the party

after the state YMCA event. He has a new plaque and a medal. He went to SO

camp and spent four days being the darling of over 100 coaches (he and ).

They are so sociable that all enjoyed their company. (dh) says that the

facility at Warm Springs, GA is incredible. It is a support facility for

persons with disabilities and has a lot of sports stuff available. We even have

pics of riding a horse as trained to coach equestrian events. It

was four days and neither wanted to come home. We closed on our house when they

got back and immediately left for the NDSS conference. I got to meet Kittie and

she was so very nice. I didn't see anyone else though. I was a little

disappointed. We toured the White House with friends with a daughter with DS.

We also saw the new WW II monument and part of the sonian. The hotel was

very nice. We came home to move and have been unpacking ever since. We get

moved in (boxes at least) and we get a call from the local SO head honcho and he

tells us that our minor league baseball team the Sand Gnats is opening up slots

for special athletes to go to baseball camp. went to 3 days of baseball

camp and was the only special athlete there. He was voted MVP by the kids and

given a batting helmet. He got a hat and t-shirt and free ticket to the game,

so we spent my birthday (Aug 7) at the game. It was fun. I love baseball.

got to run out on the field (as did the other campers) with his favorite

player. 's school will be better if we can get them to call us. He'll

show up on Monday and they better do something with him.

We love our house and loves the pool. and I have started back

to school and I'm a little nervous about here with the pool but he did

great today. I called 3 times and called once. I don't think I " m going

to enjoy this year like I did last year. My new boss is not as much fun. Hope

you didn't mind reading all this.

Wow, Elaine! I almost got dizzy reading your email. What a great summer

is having! What a busy summer YOU are having! I'm so glad to hear that

you are happy with your move to Savannah. So likes his new

surroundings? I'm always pleasently surprised when experiences changes.

I always worry in advance, but he makes transitions pretty easily. We just got

back yesterday after spending 5 days in Boston. He was a real trooper,

considering all the walking we did. We did a Duck Tour and when the vehicle

turned into a boat, they let steer! It was a hoot!

Best wishes in your new home!

Wow, what a busy summer. I am glad has had such great opportunities.

And I am very happy your new home is working out so well.

We also enjoyed our time in DC, didn't get to go for the convention, just for

vacation.

I don't envy your unpacking boxes, that is so much fun (not)! Hope the school

year starts out well. We go back on the 23rd, and can't wait. She is

very ready to get back in her school year routine.
