How great is that Kathy!! I can imagine how well he did and how proud you

were. To bad you have to start all over again next year. I am beginning to

think it is the way of the world. I need to get a SEIT teacher fotr Micah for

next year for pre-school and have been looking now for 6 weeks with no luck. He

needs someone who also has a basic understanding of signing. You would think

I asked for the moon. I am very worried about next year and as it is going

now I will be going to school next year with him cause he needs one on one and

modification of his curriculum. I am no SEIT teacher but i do know his needs

and will not be pushed into a Special Ed program when he has done so well this

year. So...sigh~~~~ I am right there with you!!!

I am slo glad that Liam had a good year this year and did so well. I

guess we just gotta take it year to year.

You will be soon! I think God gives us glimpses of how things are supposed

to be so we can keep working hard to maintain it. I had my moment Friday. At

least the program he'll be going to is run by the same principal and vice

preincipals.

Does the teacher need to be certified? How about giving the local colleges a

call? At ACDS some of the teachers worked at the Helen Keller institute or

Millneck Manor (near Oyster Bay). They might be able to give you leeds,

because all the folks that work there sign.

I KNOW God gives us those glimpses. If he didn't none of us would figure

out how to get through.

Yes the SEIT teacher has to be certified and through an agency only. I

will give a call to where you suggested though. They might not know anyone

this far out on the Island but they might know another agency. thanks kathy!
