Guest guest
I am a member, but have found that it's a crock. I personally am not aware of ANY plan under ASHN that reimburses for physiotherapy or other rehabilitation that is most times a necessity. Their proposed treatment plans etc are a complete waste of energy. I try to convey to the patient that it is well worth their money to pay me in cash and hence receive the entire treatment they indeed require. If (and some are obstinate) a patient insists on using the insurance, they get what the insurance pays for: an adjustment nothing else. Hell, one has to actually request the permission to perform an exam on the patient in order to be re-imbursed. KOOOKY!! I also found that to avoid a lot of paper work with them i utilized the Treatmen Plan Threshold (dont ya just luv these terms) in which you adjust the patient 5 times without any approval necessary. Then, a couple weeks later we do it again if needed. I really do need to find a network that allows me to accept more plans with less hassle. Anyone aware of any free and decent networks aside from these skinflints?? By the way, someone responded somewhat positively to the referrals begotten from the membership of this crooked institution. I must say, i've received very little and want to keep it that way. Why on earth would i want to increase my practice utilizing the tedious an unethical methods of this swindling company. the spawn of a snake yields yet another. Guest guest
Charlie, The -AT modifier must be used on the HCFA with every manipulation code entry. Therefore, if one billing form contains six different dates of treatment each date will include the -AT modifier. In your case include the -QB modifier also just as you have before. That will not change. I have attached the most recent PDF article from Medicare concerning this new requirement. J. Holzapfel, D.C. Albany, OR. kjholzdc@... http://docman.chiroweb.com P.S. To the listserve...I am looking for someone who may be willing to serve as the alternate Oregon Chiropractic representative to the r Advisory Committee (CAC). Anyone interested?
