Yeah, I like " 15% wouldn't mind being clinically

depressed " ; somebody should tell the FDA. Hopes were

would release an anorexic pill called Rimonabant, but people in the

clinical trials developed depression at about that rate. Rimonabant

acts as an inhibitor at cannabinoid receptors -- it takes all the fun out

of puffing weed. Rimonabant was a high hope as a treatment for the

" metabolic syndrome " -- it not only causes weight loss,

but it seems to inhbit the pernicious metabolic activity of abdonimal fat

cells -- blood lipids, CRP, insulin resistance and other risk

factors drop more than can be accounted for by the weight loss.
