Guest guest
Hi everyone, Went to my mom's for lunch. gimped around a bit; walking on the outside of his foot/heel. We are keeping him on the tylenol/codeine for a day or two, so he's not hurting. He is in the tub. Time to change the dressing on his toe. It is quite ugly. I'm sure it'll look better after it's cleaned up. The kids have all been warned about the wts before, and I'm sure they won't touch them after this. Any wt over 5lbs is now on the lower rack or the floor. Happy Oyster and thanks for caring, Becky
Guest guest
That is such a bummer about your sons foot!!! I am sorry to hear that.... But I would be willing to make bets... he won't be messin around yer weights again!!! My son who is now 7, from the age 2 to 4 was at the Doc's office monthly for injurys!! It isn't your fault.... stuff happens!! hang in there!! HOLLY My 4yo son pulled a 10lb wt plate off the rack and broke his big toe last night. We spent a couple hrs in the ER. X-rays showed a large crack in the end bone. The toe is purple, swollen, oozing blood, and he's gonna loose his toe-nail. The darn wt landed right at the bed of his nail; I hope it didn't damage the growth part. Poor guy! He's on antibiotics (it's considered an open fracture) and codeine for a couple days. My DH, who has always freaked when the kids get hurt, blamed me and was ready to toss my wts. He wants to move them upstairs, but then we won't be able to monitor the kids with them. I like them in the LR, where I can use them whenever and supervise the kids more. The DH is better today, but is holding the boy (who is not complaining) and giving me orders.... Gotta go.. Guest guest
This morning I took a double dose of my meds by a mistake. I took the ordinary dose, 400mg amiodarone plus 50mg metoprolol, at 7:30 am and the same at 10:30 am lokal time. Never done such a thing before, I just hope my head isn't failing too... I have called the Er to be safe and are waiting for a doc to call me back. Anyone (awake) that's had a similar experience?
