Guest guest
Hi folks: We have previously discussed the (possibly extraordinary) benefits of pomegranates ............. enormous anti-oxidant capacity etc.. Well yesterday I tripped over: " Not from concentrate, 100% pomegranate juice, no water added, pasteurized, with potassium sorbate added [preservative] " . It comes from Azerbaijan and is not a product of any producer I have heard of previously. The producer's name appears to be " Bullur " . It costs about $4 for a one litre bottle, which is enormously much less expensive than other pomegranate source I have seen (assuming what it says on the label is accurate!) A study posted here, perhaps six months ago, showed sizeable benefits from the consumption of very modest daily amounts of pomegranate, possibly related to prostate cancer, but I forget the details.) For those interested, no doubt that study could be located with an archive search. There have not been a lot of posts in which the word 'pomegranate' has appeared. Rodney.
