Guest guest
Sharon, I've been thinking of Tina Berger all day. She leaves near the west coast of Florida - not sure how far from Tampa. Hope this storm doesn't harm their clam farm. If I lived in your area, I'd be doing my own evacuation to avoid the lines if that becomes mandatory. But then again, I'm one who bought lots of water for Y2K --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Hi all Thanks so much for your thoughts I am touched. All is well here we dodged the bullet so to speak. charley came in farther south than anticipated and we basically just got some heavy rain and light wind. it could have been much worse and we are grateful but worried about our friends farther south in Port Charlotte and Sarasota. still waiting on word from some of them. you best be careful and keep the radio on during your trip, charley is heading right up the east coast and you are bound to hit some weather somewhere between here and there. I will be thinking about you. Thanks so much again Tina Berger (west coast of Florida with 3 boys left at home 18ds, 9 and Darrius 5)
Guest guest
Isabel last year caused such devastation for my family. My parents home was flooded and severly damaged, the stress of losing everything did my father in and he died. Some of their neighbors on their street still have not been able to move back into their homes because of repairs not completed and homes were demolished because people did not have flood insurance and did not have the funds to build. My mother is so traumatized by losing her husband and all her belongings ... and the stress of this hurricane coming today is making her relive everything all over again!! Our family will NEVER stay in town for anything over a Category 1 hurricane ....... we won't be dependent on civil authorities to tell us to stay or go. The people in Florida will need prayers and and plenty of help from us!! Cheryl
