Were you scared or panicked for a time before you passed out? Did you feel your heart racing the way we would if we were just normal and we were having a panic attack? Thanks you.second, I forget what is ATP. I went to te gloassry in ZAP FAQ, and it's not listed there. what is it. During the first yearafter I got my ICD I had two or three shocks but my heart rate was sohigh that I passed out before the shock. I remember one shockhappened when I was taking out the trash. I had enough warning to sitdown on the kitchen floor and the next thing I remember was laying onthe floor half in a daze, wondering if I was dead or alive. Anotherhappened while I was walking and also had enough warning to sitbefore I passed out. While sitting on the curb after I regainedconsciousness a guy in a Corvette stopped and asked if I needed help.It was nice of him to give me a ride even though it was only a coupleblocks to my home. The shock that I received last summer was during the night and I wasasleep. I woke up after it happened and realized that something hadjust occured but was not certain what it was until my nextinterrogation.I think somebody already explained what ATP means. I usually feelthem and hope they do not escalate into a shock.
Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry. I seem to have given the wrong impression. I'm not worried that an ICD or a heart problem is going to make me more dizzy or anything like that. I meant I'm under a lot of pain, fatigue and stress from those problems while I'm trying to make this ICD decision, plus all these things detract from me being able to do any work, which requires very hard concentration. Even just the surgery and recovery, and then the anxiety if I start getting shocked, the whole thing is a disaster in a way I can't explain well enough, I guess. I'm not resisting the ICD. I'm just learning everything that I can so I can ask my doctors the right questions and then I'll choose a time to get the implant. I hope that's a little more clear. Thanks again for your replies and your support! Guest guest
Dear , nothing to apologize for. What counts in the end is just that we manage to communicate and make some sense to each other! <smile> Re: Guy: unfelt shocks and ATP (was Re: Re: Amiodarone dose) joel you have been explaining just fine ! i just maybe have not understood everything correctly !!i'm truely sorry for the misunderstanding ! and the fustration i may have caused soemtimes things are hard to explain ! sometimes things dont require explaining i understand what your meaning but i dont always explain myself well either i'm sorry for any miss understanding and hope you willforgive me ! stacie and kira ( borrowing a computer isnt family helpful?)
