Guest guest
Hi ZAP listers, I received a private email off list from Jan early today and replied to it in the ordinary way using my Outlook Express Reply function. To my bewilderment, it was returned to me by Jan's mail server, as happened with an earlier such attempt. I left in the entire error message, not to impede anyone from scrolling down until they find the actual messages between me and Jan, if they wish to read them, but only as a matter of record so that anyone who wants to can see what happened and, if they wish, investigate the problem. That said, here's the full error message and, below it, the actual emails the two of us sent each other. I hope I'm not violating anyone's sense of propriety or privacy by doing this. I certainly have no such intention and, anyway, I can't see anything in either message that seems truly private to me, let alone secretive. But only this error message will help Jan know what to ask his or her email service. Sorry, I never learned whether Jan is a man or a woman. In the U.S., Jan would always be short for the woman's names Janice or Janet, but in Western Europe it's more likely not even to be a diminutive in that way but simply the name of a man. Yahn, it would be pronounced. Sorry for my ignorance. sincerely, Re: Jan (was My ICD and its location ) Date: Sun, 8 Feb 2009 04:30:53 -0800 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset= " iso-8859-1 " Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5512 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.5579 Hi Jan, I'm happy to hear from you. The pain of my two surgical incisions and their sutures is finally fading a bit, so even though my chest and shoulder still hurt, it's not so bad now. I have no idea why you would be experiencing chronic, constant pain as you say you are. I don't know the physiology of that area of the body well enough to have any idea what could create this problem you're having. There are nerves everywhere in our bodies, but so far as I'm aware, the only type of nerves that would matter in this case would be pain nerves, which are near the surface of the skin, and if an incision ----- Message truncated -----
