Guest guest
Well, new to me anyway. Looks like they've been around since Sept. 2003, but not that many members and not all that chatty. Maybe too busy crocheting. Since Timbo wasn't interested in the Down Syndrome With Hang Nail Group, maybe he'll join up. Hope he's better than I with a crochet hook. But maybe he'll just volunteer to watch all the kids while the moms crochet. I hear they've got their hands on some really good tequila and are extraordinarily generous with it. But, no matter, I think this is a great idea. And I'm all in favor of any little extras for our kids with a little something extra. We were pleasantly surprised on our second trip to NICU to find that had been given a nice little red bear Beanie Baby, gift from Beanies for Preemies. Charlie never got one. He didn't get any handmade hug, either. All he got was a fuzzy, white teddy bear from the wonderful people at Bausch and Lomb who make those $200 aphakic contact lenses. Sheesh, what a deal. Oh well, shouldn't look a gift teddy bear in the mouth, or is that eye? Okay, all you crafty crocheters and crotchety craftiers, here's you chance. Cheers, Bob, Charlie and 's dad (lefthanded and awkward, definitely not crafty)
Guest guest
Tim is more of a knitting guy! He'll graciously accept any tequila though. Honestly, a friend of mine made a crocheted blanket before he was born - it's a nice sized one and pretty heavy. She was one of two friends who I told about the diagnosis when we found out - she came running with her gift and as corny as this may sound, it was comforting to me! Right now she is knitting a new one for my 11 month old who is VERY attached to hers and we lost it on vacation..NOT FUN! I LOVE having these special blankets for them to have forever. Guest guest
Their intentions seem okay, if a little uninformed. I will point out that I knitted a little binky for each of my babies (now 11 to 21) and they really did love them (literally to pieces). Judi Another new group Well, new to me anyway.
