I have been home typing for the last 9 years and am excited to get out among people again. I am on the west side of Rochester, in Gates but the store is actually in Chili. Is the owner willing to put money towards the work or is it all up to you? If it doesn't have a lease, what happens if you put improvements into it with your money and months later they tell you to find another rental space? I'm not saying this to scare you, just to have you think of certain things. COVER YOUR BUTT!! I hope it works out for you and you have a very prosperous business!!!!! Guest guest Posted January 30, 2003 Report Share Posted January 30, 2003 Hi , I took it. When I meant I didn't have a lease I meant I wasn't locked into 5, 7 or 10 years. I do have an agreement. Each party has to give the other party 60 days notice to leave, I paid no security deposit and I am paying for clean up and paint. Any fixtures belong to me. If I can't clean the carpet I will just put another one over that and can always use it on my back porch if this doesn't work out or the owner will buy it from me.
